A Sydney studio designing dark, material, deliberate interiors for people who refuse the mainstream.
VACNT Studios is an interior design and creative practice established in 2026. The work operates across residential, hospitality, experiential retail and brand-led spatial identity, held together by a single position. Restraint is not the absence of intent. It is the discipline that makes intent legible.
The studio is based in Sydney with active plans to extend operations into the United States. Project scopes range from full interior design and FF&E documentation through to construction project management and on-site delivery.
The aesthetic is dark luxury without the gloss. Material-first, editorial in composition, drawn from subculture as much as from architecture. Concrete, blackened steel, smoked oak, oxidised brass, raw plaster, polished stainless. Surfaces that age, that record use, that hold memory. Spaces designed for the people who refuse the mainstream.
Selected work includes the RUSH experiential hospitality space for Lexus Australia, residential commissions across Sydney's inner east and the Stonewood Estate, and retail concepts for KRAVE Worldwide. The studio also publishes a journal on material, light, restraint and the spaces in between.
