How it works
Each project is unique, so the stages may vary. This is the spine of every one.
01
Briefing & research
We get to know the site, the brief and the way you live.
02
Concept & sketches
The idea is set: plans, references, material direction.
03
Detailed design
Documentation, specification and 3D resolved in full.
04
Coordination & approval
We present, refine and lock the scheme with you.
05
Execution
We supervise the build through to the final detail.
From the journal
BLUM: Refusing the Cubicle
On charred ceilings, scaffolding offices, and a workplace that refuses the cubicle.
Restraint is not Minimalism
What is restraint if not the practice of creating art?
SANCTUM: On the Discipline of the Dim
On subterranean rooms, the rationing of light, and designing a house that asks the world to…
We will dispel your doubts
01What happens if the build is delayed?
We plan for it. Programme, contingencies and sequencing are set at the start, and we supervise on site to keep it moving.
02What quality guarantees do you provide?
Specification is documented and checked against install. We do not sign off on work we would not live with.
03Do you work outside Sydney?
The studio is Sydney-based, with select work considered nationally.
